Two Playoff matches to be played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata

Kolkata, May 4 (UNI) The VIVO IPL 2018 Eliminator and the Qualifier 2 will now be played at the Eden Gardens here, the Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council confirmed on Friday.

“The IPL governing council has confirmed that Kolkata will host the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 on May 23 and 25 respectively,” IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla said.

These matches were earlier scheduled at the Maharashtra Cricket Association’s International Stadium, Pune, which is now Chennai Super Kings’ designated home ground.

The Qualifier 1 will go ahead as scheduled at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbaion May 22 followed by the Eliminator (May 23) and the Qualifier 2 (May 25) at Kolkata.

The final will be staged at Mumbai on May 27

May 22 : Qualifier 1 – Team 1 vs Team 2 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
May 23: Eliminator – Team 3 vs Team 4 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata
May 25: Qualifier 2 – Winner of Eliminator vs Loser of Qualifier 1 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata
May 27: Final – Winner of Qualifier 1 vs Winner of Qualifier 2 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
