Three injured in escalator malfunction at Thane railway station

Thane, May 12 (UNI) At least three passengers were injured when the escalator at Thane railway station malfunctioned here.

The injured were given first aid at the medical centre and discharged.

According to reports, the escalator at platform no 1 all of a sudden started going on the reverse when the passengers on it fumbled and fell down on Friday night.

They were identified as Kuldeep ware, Tejashri Mishra and Sunil Thakur. The escalator has been shut for repairs after the incident. None of the seniors from the station could be reached for comments.
