Puducherry, Oct 15 (UNI) Alleging that Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi has misused her powers on the collection of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Funds, gave false information on the issue and violated the Union Home Ministry orders on appointing Mr Thevaneethidas as OSD, Chief Minister V Narayanasamy on Monday demanded a judicial probe into these issues.
Talking to news persons, Mr Narayanasamy said since, the matter pertains to the Lt.Governor’s office, he could not directly order for a Judicial probe and should get the permission of Union Home Ministry.
He will be writing to the Union Home Ministry today on the issues, he said.
Refuting the claim of the Lt.Governor that no CSR fund was collected by Raj Nivas and the donors who came forward to help in desilting channels were paying the contractors directly, the Chief Minister said the Lt.Governor herself had issued a note stating that a desk under Asha Gupta,the comptroller of Raj Nivas and with Mr.Bhaskaran as grievance officer was constituted to deal the CSR funds and Raj Nivas will ensure the link between the donors and contractors.
Further, nominated MLA Selvaganapathy has given his entire salary to the CSR fund which was collected by the Raj Nivas in way of cheque.
Since, it is clear that Rajnivas has involved in collection of CSR funds, the details from whom all funds were collected and the total amount collected, purpose of collection be revealed, he said.
Mr Narayanasamy also alleged that Raj Nivas has plunged into corruption and become a “collection Centre”.
He also cited several instances of Raj Nivas staff indulging in corruption, including ordering 600 sarees and 600 dhotis in a textile showroom using the name of t LG ,to substantiate his claim.
