Mumbai, Oct 18 (UNI) Bollywood singer Anu Malik on Thursday denied allegation of sexual harassment levelled by singer Shweta Pandit and termed it as ‘false’.
Pandit took to Twitter to accuse Malik of being a “paedophile and sexual predator”, saying he misbehaved with her when she was a
greenhorn in the Hindi music industry. However, the music director refuted this allegation.
In this regard, advocate Zulfikar Majeed Memon, on behalf of Malik, issued a statement saying that the #MeToo movement, which is having its India moment, was being used for his client’s “character assassination”.
“My client respects the #MeToo movement but to use this movement to start a character assassination mission is obnoxious,” he said.
“The allegations made against my client are completely false and have been emphatically denied,” Adv Memon added.
