Absconding woman arrested by Delhi police in Mianwali murder case

New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a woman involved in the killing of a female who’s body was found in a drain at Mianwali Nagar area of West Delhi in May this year, police said on Friday.


As per police, an information was received at Mianwali Nagar police station that a decapitated head and limbs of a female were found in a drain of C-Block, Jwalapuri, following which the local police rushed to the spot and recovered the head of the female, and a half-cut leg from the drain.

The accused identified as Gauri and one more person were on the run while accused Manjeet was earlier arrested by the police.
The absconding accused were later declared proclaimed offenders by a court. 
She was apprehended from Haryana’s Jind district’s Ratta Khera on Thursday at around 1600 hours by the special team following a tip-off.

She was living there in hiding and married one Kartar Singh to hide her identity.

Gauri, a native of West Bengal, shifted to Delhi after the demise of her first husband. She started running a placement agency at Lal Quarter, Punjabi Bagh along with Manjeet, Rakesh, and Shalu, in 2015.

A cash reward of Rs 50,000 was declared for her arrest by Commissioner of Police Delhi.
