Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme

The Prime Minister said that under the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme those farmers of Maharashtra whose crops had got damaged due to the scarcity would benefit this year.

To tackle the drought situation in Maharashtra, various projects and measures had been taken by state government which included Jalyoukta Shivar Yojana and several others, the Prime Minister said, adding under the scheme of Jalyoukta Shivar Scheme, more than 16,000 villagers had  benefited and efforts of the government was to provide another 9,000 villages affected due to drought. 

Mr Modi lauded work of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the state saying the Chief Minister had started numbers of welfare schemes for the poor and weaker section of society which Congress could not do even in 20 years.

Talking about the recent medical scheme “ Ayushman Bharat” launched by the Centre, the Prime Minister Modi said more than one lakh people had benefited so far under the scheme.
