Nitish pays rich tributes to Dr Sri Krishna Singh on his birth anniversary

Patna, Oct 21 (UNI) Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and a host of senior leaders paid rich tributes to the first Chief Minister of Bihar Dr Sri Krishna Singh on his birth anniversary today.

The main official function was organised near the life size statue of Dr Singh, fondly called Sri Babu inside the main secretariate premises in the state capital.

On the occasion, Mr Kumar paid rich tributes to Dr Singh by offering flowers before the statue.

Bihar Assembly speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Road Construction Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, MLAs Shyam Rajak and Arun Kumar Sinha, MLC Sanjay Singh alias Gandhi Ji, former Nagrik Parishad general secretary Chhotu Singh and several other social and political workers remembered the contributions of Dr Singh in the state`s development and paid him their tributes.

Artists of information and public relations department performed Aarti and sung Bhajans and patriotic songs to mark the occasion.
