BJP announces new date for first Rath Yatra in Bengal, Amit Shah to flag off all three chariots in December

Kolkata, Nov 17 (UNI) The BJP has fixed a new date for its maiden Rath Yatra in West Bengal’s northern most district of Cooch Behar on December 7. Amit Shah wishes to flag off all three on separate dates across the state.

According to party’s national executive member Arvind Menon’s latest communication that Amit Shah will flag off the first Rath Yatra from Cooch Behar on December 7, the second one from Ganga Sagar in South 24 Parganas on December 9 and final and 3rd Rath Yatra from Tarapith in Birbhum district on December 14.

Initially Tarapith was the first venue on December 5. But the new date was in consideration of pre-occupation of Mr Shah in some poll bound states in the country, said a BJP source today.

All the three Raths will roll around all the 42 Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal to propound the messages of PrimeMinister Narendra Modi and create awareness of the NDA government’s achievement since 2014.

All the Raths will assemble at Brigade Parade ground before January 16 where Mr Modi will address a massive rally.
