BJP MLA demands shifting of Bear plant to avoid tree cutting

Bhubaneswar, Nov 17 (UNI) BJP Legislature party leader K V Singh Deo today
requested Speaker P K Amat to direct the government to allocate land for the
proposed bear plant at Balarampur in Dhenkanal district at a place where no
trees would be uprooted.

government is launching a plantation drive on the banks of the river Mahanadi,
Baitarani, Tel and IB on the other hand it has given order to fell 20,000 trees
to set up a bear factory at Balarampur in Dhenkanal district.
