CJI offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara

Tirumala, Nov 18 (UNI) Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara here on Sunday.

During his maiden visit in the capacity of CJI along with his family members, he was accorded Isthikaphal welcome on his arrival at the main entrance of the temple amidst chanting of Vedic hymns by veda pundits and melam band.

In the sanctum sanctorum he was explained about the importance of presiding deity and the jewels adorned to Lord Venkateswara. 
Later the Vedic Scholars offered ‘Vedasirvachanam’ in Ranganayakula Mandapam.

TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju, offered theertha prasadams and lamination photo of Lord Venkateswara to the CJI.

Andhra Pradesh DGP R P Thakur, Chittoor District Collector Pradyumna, Disrict Court Judge Junaid Ahmed Moulana, DIG Kranthi Rana Tata, CVSO Gopinath Jatti, Urban SP KKN Anburajan were present.
