Tirupati, Nov 18 (UNI) Karthika Pournami Managudi, an important mass religious event, will be observed across 13,000 temples in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from November 20 to 23 by Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP), a wing of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanamas (TTD).
Arrangements for holding the religious event was completed on Sunday.
All the sacred materials including vermilion, turmeric, sugarcandy, holy rice Akshata, holy thread Kankanams which are to be distributed to devotees of the respective temples were ready and will be given in 70 Lakh packets.
Meanwhile, on November 20, Mangala Kaisika Dwadasi will be observed in all the temples, on November 21, Alaya Shobha, November 22 Karthika Parva Deepotsavam will be observed and on November 23 religious discourses with eminent scholars will be organized on the importance of Karthika Pournami.
Under the instructions of TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and guidance of Tirupati JEO P Bhaskar, HDPP Secretary Ramana Prasad is supervising the arrangements.
