Assembly Poll: Chandrashekar Rao launches election campaign from Khammam

Hyderabad, Nov 19 (UNI) Telangana caretaker Chief Minister and TRS President K Chandrashekar Rao launched election campaign from Khammam on Monday.

Addressing a public meeting at Sri Rama and Bhaktha Gentela Narayana Rao (SR & BGNR ) College ground , Mr Rao questioned the right of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who wrote a letter to the Centre against the Seetha Ram irrigation project and asking for votes for TDP in the state for the December 7 Assembly election.

He also asked the people to question Mr Naidu in this regard when he campaign for the election. Mr KCR also warned people to beware of that party as three TDP candidates were contesting in this district.

Questioning Congress and TDP on why their governments had not taken up construction of irrigation projects, Mr Rao said that the TRS government will take necessary steps on Podu lands problem after consulting with the Centre.

Praising party candidate Thummala Nageswara Rao who is contesting from Paleru Assembly Constituency, Mr Chandrashekar Rao said that he is instrumental over the completion of Bhakta Ramadasu Lift Irrigation scheme within 10 months.

Mr Rao expressed confidence that the TRS will sweep all the 10 seats in Khammam district. Earlier it had won only 1 seat in the 2014 Assembly election.

The TRS Government had fulfilled 100 per cent of its poll promises, Mr Rao claimed and added ” We are ready for a debate on it.
