Kakinada, Nov 20(UNI) East Godavari district pensioners united forum has demanded the government to nominate a retired employee as an MLC enabling them to voice their grievances effectively.

The forum at its meeting held here on Tuesday with PSSNP Sastry president of the district unit of the state government retired employees association in the chair, has resolved demanding due representation to them in endowment institutions and corporate bodies.

It also wanted the govern,ent to arrange additional 10 percent pension to those completed 65 years and the period of CVP (commutation) amount recovery from 15 to 12 years and raise the ceiling of death relief from the existing Rs15,000 to Rs 30,000.

The other demands include enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 3,000 and the family pension from the existing 30 per cent to 40 per cent. Continuance of medical reimbursement facility, sanctioning of house sites or house to the houseless ,pilgrimage allowance facility for every three years to pensions of all religions were the other demands sought by them.

The forum further demanded announcement of interim relief as announcement of 11 PRC might be delayed. It has resolved to hold district level conference of all the pensioners including of the central government to voice their grievances on January 8 at the Ladies club here.

Leaders of various associations including K Padmanabham, S A Ali, R Bapiraju, G Apparao, V Kameswerarao, Buddharaju Suryanarayanaraju, KV Ramanarao, PDV Ramachandrudu, KJ Victor and Turaga Suryarao were among those attended.
