Cong releases ‘Janata Ke Aarop’ in MP

Bhopal, Nov 20 (UNI) The Congress today released a list of 21 scams and 25 allegations relating to 15 years of Bharatiya Janata Party rule in Madhya Pradesh.

“Premier Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan – who sidelined the aged leaders who taught them how to walk in the political arena – are apprehensive plus unsteady and attempting to mislead the masses,” Congress Communication Department In-charge Randeep Surjewala said during a press conference at the party’s state headquarters while making public a document ‘Janata Ke Aarop’ (Accusations of the Public).

Both the Centre and the state regimes patronise touts, he said, adding that one remained busy in creating a safe exit for businessmen Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi while the other looted cultivators in agricultural markets.

“Sand, pension, power, bitumen, university, grain and toilet scams are part of a long list in Madhya Pradesh where the government failed on the electricity, education, security, nutrition, agriculture, good governance and other fronts. Crimes against women spurted by a whopping 1,170 per cent. Female foeticide witnessed an upward spiral,” the visiting politician averred.

An average of 13 rapes were committed per day in 2016, he alleged, adding that ryots’ suicides are rising at the rate of 21 per cent and peasants of 24 villages in the Chief Minister’s native district sought permission to end their lives.

“Mr Lal Krishna Advani, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi and Mr Kalraj Mishra were sidelined and it is now the turn of Mrs Sushma Swaraj, Mr Rajnath Singh and Mr Arun Jaitley,” he said in response to a query on Mrs Swaraj announcing that she would not contest the next general election.
