Cong wedding procession ready but groom missing: Rajnath

Burhanpur, MP, Nov 20 (UNI) Heaping sarcasm on Madhya Pradesh’s principal-opposition Congress, Home Affairs Minister Rajnath Singh today said that the name of that party’s chief ministerial candidate still being a mystery was akin to a marriage procession being ready but no sign of the groom.

“You must have watched ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ on television but the Congress is showing a ‘Kaun Banega Mukhyamantri’ game in this state. One from Guna, one from Chhindwara, every Congress leader desires to become chief minister. They are disunited,” he averred in this district headquarters while addressing a poll rally in support of saffron party nominee Archana Chitnis.

Accusing the Congress of attempting to garner votes by influencing social sentiments in the name of caste and religion, the visiting politician made an oblique reference to Congress President Rahul Gandhi by saying that Congress leaders go from temple to temple but do not know how to be seated in such shrines.

“Madhya Pradesh was a ‘bimaru’ state during Congress rule,” he said.
