General observers satisfies with the poll work in Hyderabad dist: Dana Kishore

Hyderabad, Nov 21 (UNI) Hyderabad District Election Officer (DEO) and GHMC Commissioner, M. Dana Kishore, on Wednesday said that the General Observers appointed by the ECI ,who has come from the New Delhi on Monday last, visited their respective assembly constituencies and interacted with officials about the polling related issues and law and order situation.

The observers expressed their satisfaction about the work taken up at 15 assembly constituencies in Hyderabad district, Dana Kishore told reporters here.

The DEO informed that the Observers about the officials drafted for the election purpose with regard to training to Booth Level Officers (BLOs), awareness of EVMs/ VVPATs, Mobile Van, campaign also been explained in detail to them.

Dana Kishore said that the actual contesting candidates in each Assembly Constituency will be known only after the final withdrawals and based on that, we will approach the CEO for extra EVMs/VVPATs.

The polling personal, randomization, Micro Observers training will be held in the presence of the Observers. The second randomization will be held after November 24, he said the BLO training is also being held today and will be continue till tomorrow.

The DEO said that all Returning Officers (ROs) will conduct meetings with the Political Parties on Thursday ,where the ROs will give the schedules to the Political Parties about the visit of the BLOs to the concerned areas for clear transparency.

The contesting candidates must deploy their Booth Level Agent along with the BLO as such for better distribution of voter slips/ EPICs for clear transparency, he said even RWAs, Volunteers also being deployed with them with the approval of the CEO for smooth functioning of the distribution.

The DEO appealed all the contesting candidates to follow the prescribed guidelines of the ECI with regard to Model Code of Conduct , while taking up their canvassing.

A color booklet is being planned to distribute to all the citizens to have a clear idea of the working of the EVMs/VVPATs to cast their vote without any inconvenience , he added.
