A teen aged arrested by Forest Mobile Squad and recover a Brown Fish Owl

Belagavi, Nov 22 (UNI) The Forest Mobile Squad (FMS) officials raided a House at Kundaragi village in Gokak Taluk in the District today and recovered one Brown fish Owl.

The Squad arrested 19 year-old Dastgir Ammeramja Aralikatti.

District Conservative of Forest (DCF) S Balkrishna told media persons on Thursday that “our squad headed by RFO B V U Lavannavar taken in to their custody one person and recovered big size (more than three kg ) Owl. Efforts are on the nab the kingpin Anil Gaddi who is absconding.”


“We suspect a Racket was involved in the catching Owls in the district and transporting to other places , many people believe this type of Owls if kept in the House they will get prosperity and some people use the rare Owls for Black Magic,” he added.

Since last two months the forest officials have recovered Five Owls in the district at different places.
Case has been registered under Wild Animals protection Act 1972 and section 2 (36), 9, 39, 40 , 43, 48 (A) 49, 50, 50 (1) (C) 51, and 56. DCF Balakrishna added.
