Row over Congress leader Moily’s comments on Air Force Chief

A big row has been triggered by the comments from senior Congress leader and former Union Minister M Veerappa Moily that Air Force chief B S Dhanoa is a “liar”.”Verrappa Moily of Congress just now called the IAF chief ‘a LIAR’ all because he said that India needs Rafale jets! Till now they have called the – Supreme Court, Govt, Ministry & Minister of Defence, French Govt, French President, Dassault CEO as LIARS…..Congress only purveyor of TRUTH?,” tweeted BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya.

There have been strong reactions from retired military officers also.”Is having the right to humiliate and insult a soldier the ultimate proof that we are a vibrant democracy…,” tweeted Maj Gaurav Arya, a TV host and defence analyst. In his missive, another military man Maj Surendra Poonia wrote: “Calling Air Chief a liar by Veerappa Moily is shameful. Mr Moily, Air Chief B S Dhanoa is serving the nation since 1978 with integrity.

Mr Moily Pl tell us who was involved in Bofors,CWG, Augusta Westland,2G,Coal Scams ? Surely Not Army or Air Force Chief”. IAF chief B S Dhanoa earlier in the day hailed the apex court judgement and said: “The Supreme Court has given a fine judgement. It took us so long that our adversaries have already upgraded their system. Rafale is a game changer.”

The Congress, which has accused government of corruption on Rafale, has said that the Supreme Court was not the ‘right forum’ to look into the deal and hene a Joint Parliamentary Committee should be formed.
