Delhi wakes up to season’s coldest morning, air quality remains ‘severe’

Delhiites woke up to a chilly Sunday morning with mercury dropping to 3.7 degrees C, coldest so far in the season, four points less than seasons average.The early hours of the morning were foggy while slowly the skies started getting clear with the sun coming up.

Relative humidity was 94 per cent at 0830 hours, as per the Met office. The sky is likely to be clear during the day with maximum temperature to hover around 22 degrees C , according to the weatherman. The air quality in the city remained ‘severe’ like in Saturday while index value was 441 at 0800 hours. On Saturday the maximum temperature settled at 21.8 degrees C, which was normal for the season.
