The Central Industrial Security Force on Thursday detected four gold bars worth of Rs 9.5 lakhs at Rajiv Gandhi International airport, Hyderbad, an official release said here on Thursday.
According to CISF, around 0540 hrs at security hold area of the airport on December 27, a lady duty officer at scanning machine detected four gold bars weighing about 310 grams from the hand baggage of a lady passenger.
On inquiry, she could not produce any valid document for possessing for the recovered gold bars. The senior CISF and Custom officials were informed.
The lady passenger was identified as Ms G Laxmi, a Indian national, was travelling to Visakhapatnam from Hyderabad, by Air India flight.
“Later, the said passenger along-with the recovered gold was handed over to Custom officials for further necessary action on the matter”, the CISF said.
