Continued bedlam force Lok Sabha adjournment till 12 noon

New Delhi, Jan 2: The continued bedlam in the Lok Sabha over issues including Special Category status demand for Andhra Pradesh and plight of the people in Cauvery delta forced the Chair to adjourn the House till 12 noon on Wednesday.

As soon as the proceedings of the Question Hour commenced in the House, slogan shouting by the agitating members was also started.
TDP members, carrying placards entered the well of the House, demanding Special Category status for Andhra Pradesh.

AIADMK members also rushed into the well and raised the issue of construction of dam across river Cauvery.
However, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan allowed taking up of some questions related to ministry of law and justice amid ruckus in the House.

Amid the din, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad replied to some of the questions related to vacancies in lower judiciary in the country. But after 18 minutes of proceedings as opposition members continued to create ruckus, the Speaker adjourned the House till 12 noon.

In the Lok Sabha, a discussion on issues relating to Rafale Deal has been listed under the list of business under Rule 193.
